Ecoelastika does not manage end-of-life tires (ELTs) by its own means but makes cooperation agreements with third-party companies (subcontractors) for the collection and transport of ELTs.
ELTs are collected at end-of-life tire withdrawal points, which establishes a “collection at the source” procedure. This avoids mixing waste tires with other waste and thus used tires are efficiently moved, a factor of particular importance for the manufacture of high-quality final products.
Collectors-transporters gather ELTs from all geographical regions within Greece.
The collection takes place:
- Directly from the collection points (tire fitting shops and vehicle repair workshops) where old tires are replaced with new ones
- From legitimate dismantling facilities and end-of-life tires owners (Municipalities, construction companies, etc.)
